The exhibit will be on display at the Center’s Lucas Mansion, which is located at 316 Hiddenite Church Road in Alexander County.
Located on the third floor of the Center’s Lucas Mansion, all Emerging Artists Wall exhibits are free and open to the public Monday – Friday from 10:00am until 4:30pm and on Saturday from 10:00am until 3:00pm.
Sara McLain is a native of Florida, and long-time resident of Alexander County. McLain has been a volunteer at the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center for many years.
When asked to describe her work and process, McLain shared, “I love to catch unique moments that create memories when no one is watching.”
She went on to explain, “My dad died when I was a child and I don’t have many photographs to remember. As a result, my desire is to assure that my family will have memories to hold on to. In addition, I have found that I am an intense observer of the world around me and constantly try to capture images in that instant that takes your breath away.”
