Registration for JAM Classes Now Open

The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center will begin a new session of Junior Appalachian Music (JAM) in January. Classes will be held at 4pm at the Center’s Educational Complex (70 Sulphur Springs Road).

JAM was established nearly 40 years ago in Virginia for the express purpose of preserving traditional Appalachian style string band music and dance.  Youth and adults are welcome to register for the classes.

Contact Allison S. Houchins, JAM Site Coordinator, at or (828) 632-6966 (office).
