by Andy Benfield

In the morning the light pierces the air faster than any speed we know.

To rush illumination to us just a glance out the window.

Many will witness the beauty the earth has in store.

Others miss this majesty each time they go out the door.

I see the rivers and the hills and the flowers as I drive.

I see the Cardinal fly in the blue clear sky in the land where the pine trees thrive.

I see the stars above that flow through the Milky Way.

Each one part of a Galaxy traveling to collide with a Black Hole someday.

It astounds me what wonders are all around us to behold.

I often ponder what is in store for us and what the future will unfold.

All I can do is sit back and gaze in admiration.

The world is a pretty cool place from my observation.

Hope by Andy Benfield

In the deepest void, we find what we must to break the grip.

Such a narrow patch at times will be the only path to avoid a slip.

Cascading doubt envelopes and brushes us with such trepidation.

We must find it here with great haste and without an ounce of hesitation.

Deep inside we must look to muster all we can to the exterior.

We avoid all slanderous notions in our minds that may make us feel inferior.

Our current place in existence may seem bleak and at times a little unsure.

Our emotions ebb and flow throughout our days yet our bearing must remain pure.

The pinnacle of what we strive for and seek resides in us all.

We must speed ahead with vim and vigor and without fear that we may fall.

Keep your feet firmly on the ground and all your aspirations in scope.

Never lose this most precious thing that we call Hope.
