Lucas Mansion Art Gallery to hold reception June 4th  for featuring artist exhibitor,  Kathy Rosenberger

The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center Lucas Mansion Gallery welcomes Kathy Rosenberger as the featured artist in the Lucas Mansion Art Gallery for June & July 2022. She will have an opening reception on Saturday, June 4th 1:00pm- 3:00pm in the Lucas Mansion 2nd floor Art Gallery located 316 Hiddenite Church Road, Hiddenite.

Kathy Rosenberger is no stranger to the artist side of the world. Growing up in a household with parents who were  gifted and accomplished artists themselves was enough to feed her drive for the more creative side of life. Her mother was an excellent oil painter and her father a commercial artist who even authored a book on drawing. Kathy has made some amazing accomplishments herself. She was the recipient of the Stevens Family Scholarship in 2013 and was awarded Artist in Residence at the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum in 2016.  Kathy’s work has been on display and exhibited in multiple places including the Jones House in Boone, City of Morganton offices, Grace Hospital in Morganton,  the Bethlehem Library in Hickory, and many other venues.

Kathy is also a  mother to  9 children. She schooled them at home and passed the family passion and love for art and expression along to them as well

Watercolor is her specialty but vibrant acrylics, dramatic pastels, transparent inks and mixed media are also exciting expressions of her work. She is secretary of the Foothills Visual Arts Guild and the High Country Watermedia Society and a member of the North Carolina Watercolor Society.

“I am a student of color! Color is the reason why I am passionate about painting. My intent is not to ‘capture’ the image but to share the emotional connection of the subject with viewers. Whether a nature scene or an ordinary object, through my work I hope to help others see things differently…to linger a bit longer when seeing God’s creation, causing the viewer to enjoy life a bit more by soaking in a moment they might otherwise rush past. Stirring inspiration in others is my ultimate goal.”

Come out and meet the artist and see all the amazing art that is bursting with color and creativity! Maybe she will inspire you to create with a pop of color as well!

The gallery is free and open to the public weekdays from 10:00 am until 4:30 pm and on Saturdays from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center’s Lucas Mansion and Educational Complex are handicap accessible.
