Emerging Artist Exhibit featuring Alyson Cunningham

The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center Lucas Mansion Gallery welcomes Alyson Cunningham for an Emerging Artist Exhibit during June and July 2022.

Alyson is a native of Alexander County, NC. She comes from a large family of four brothers and three sisters. She began drawing at the age of 7 and painting at the age of 10. She prefers acrylic and watercolor for her paintings. For her drawings she enjoys using charcoal, graphite, and ink.  Inspiration for her art comes from other artists and from personal experiences. She feels that her life lessons burst into colors on a canvas or as images on a page.  She states that each of her paintings have at least one mistake which keeps her grounded and serves as a reminder that nothing or no one is perfect.  Her goal is to never lose the passion for life that serves as a muse for each work of art!

This free exhibit is now on display through July 2022 on the 3rd floor gallery of the Lucas Mansion. Emerging Artist Exhibits are free and open to the public Monday – Friday from 10:00am until 4:30pm and on Saturday from 10:00am until 3:00pm.
