“My first love is painting, but lately I have been drawn to the layers, textures and colors of torn paper collages. Creating a collage is like painting with paper. To the viewer’s eye, the small bits of paper blend together to create the whole image I like to think of collage work as artful recycling” according to Register.
As Emerging Artist, Maria Register’s collage artwork will be is displayed on the Lucas Mansion’s third floor. Gallery exhibits are free to visit Monday – Friday from 10am – 4:30pm and on Saturday from 10am-3pm. Admission is FREE.
